Purgatorio: The Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri
Published in Paperback by Bantam Classics (01 January, 1984)
Authors: Dante Alighieri, Barry Moser, and tr. Allen Mandelbaum
Average review score:

The Comedy Continues...
For those who are unaware, Purgatorio is the second part of Dante's Divine Comedy. After reading the Inferno, this book continues Dante's journey. Similar to the Inferno, Dante is accompanied by his guide, the great poet, Virgil. Also similar to the inferno, the two have to travel through different levels of this part of the afterlife and once again encounter the ironic tourtures faces by sinners. This book also comes with a map which can help a reader follow the path folled by the two men. Very helpful. It would be a good idea to first read The Inferno, in order to fully understand what is happening. Overall, the book is very deep, but fortunately this version comes with a terrific collection of notes which can be used to better understand the passages written in foriegn languages, and also helps us to understand the many characters discovered in this journey. A must for almost any reader. I hope this was helpful, but if it wasn't, I appologize for the time you wasted reading it. Purgatorio won't be such a waste. Enjoy.

Purple Sock Pink Sock
This is a great book for toddlers with emerging sitting still skills. The words are simple and go quickly on each for little fingers to turn quickly. It also teaches some basic color skills. Both of my kids have enjoyed this book to no end.

Quantum Mechanics in Chemistry (Topics in Physical Chemistry)
Published in Hardcover by Oxford University Press (January, 1997)
Authors: Jack Simons, Jeff Nichols, and Jeffrey Allen Nichols
Average review score:

Great Quantum Book for Chemistry Grad Students
One of the most clearly written quantum books I've come across. It emphasizes quantum mechanics from a molecular standpoint and contains applications and theory that are most important to chemists. There are a fantastic collection of examples and problems with highly detailed sloutions...something that is very, very rare. Highly recommended as both a text to learn from and refer to later. I don't think I would have passed my qualifying exams if I had'nt used it!

Rainbowfishes
Published in Hardcover by Voyageur Press (October, 1996)
Author: Gerald R. Allen
Average review score:

A must have for anyone interested in Rainbowfish!
This book is, in my opinion, a pillar of the aquarium community. Anyone who has an interest in Rainbowfish, ought to have this book. The information is excellent and I have often used it. It's not a book you will leave sitting on a shelf.

The information on each type of Rainbowfish is very in-depth. Specific information for each fish is well ordered, in an intelligent manner.

An added benefit is the author's desire to define the various biological, latin names so that they may be understood by all hobbyists.

This book left me hoping for a next, new, bigger edition.

The Random House Book of Sports Stories
Published in Library Binding by Random Library (September, 1990)
Authors: Thomas B. Allen and L. M. Schulman
Average review score:

Ultimate Sports
Did you ever think a man could throw another for over 30 feet? This happened in Sports Stories by Lester Schulman. This book has several short stories about people in sports. My favorite one was titled You Can Look It Up. This story was about a player that could not fit in with his teammates. He didn't hit the ball well and each time he went up to bat he struck out which made the team angry. This story and more will keep you busy reading about sports.
What I like about this book is that it tells about sports. I like sports also, and play baseball myself, so it was a perfect match for me. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 10 and recommend it to anyone that likes to play sports.

I think the author's purpose for writing this book was to prove to people that they can do anything they want to if they just try their hardest.
